This policy explains what personal information Whitehouse Real Estate Management LTD (trading as Whitehouse Real Estate Group, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It applies under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Whitehouse Real Estate Management LTD is the controller of the personal information described here. Registered office: 27 St. Cuthberts Street, Bedford, England, MK40 3JG. Company number: 16071833.
Contact us at jonny@whitehouserealestate.co.uk or on +44 7706 823725.
We only collect information that you give us directly when you get in touch:
You might send these by email, phone, WhatsApp, through a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, or through the earnings estimate form on our website.
When you use the earnings estimate form, we also collect details of the property you own or manage: its postcode, street address (if you give it), number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and whether it has a short-term let licence. We keep the estimate we showed you, the advertising campaign that brought you to the page (if any), and the date and time you agreed to our terms and this policy.
When you book a stay, the booking is made through Hospitable, our booking platform, which collects the details it needs to take payment and manage your reservation. Hospitable's privacy policy applies to that information. We receive the details we need to host your stay.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for anything other than the purposes above.
Where you ask us about our services, we use your information to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Otherwise we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and following up on their enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). We will ask for your consent before sending you any marketing messages.
We share information only with the service providers that run our website and business, and only as far as they need it to do their job:
If you need a short-term let licence and would like help with it, we will pass your name, contact details and property details to our partner solicitor, but only once you have told us you want us to. The solicitor will then handle your information under their own privacy policy.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, to protect your information.
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and for no longer than 12 months after our last contact with you. If you go on to book a stay or use our services, we keep the records needed for that for as long as the law requires.
We don't use advertising, tracking or marketing cookies on this site.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify individual visitors.
Staff who sign in to the admin area receive one essential cookie that keeps them signed in. It is needed for the admin area to work and doesn't track anyone.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Access is limited to staff who need it, and connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS). Our forms are protected by Vercel BotID, which checks signals from your browser to tell people from automated bots. Failed admin sign-in attempts are recorded by hashed IP address or email address to guard against password guessing.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, email jonny@whitehouserealestate.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
Our services are not aimed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
